Audi introduced the new generation S8 sports sedan

Audi has unveiled the new generation S8 sports sedan. The four-wheel drive car is equipped with a 4.0-liter TFSI V8 petrol engine with a capacity of 570 hp. from. and 800 Nm of torque. Acceleration is assisted by a starter generator powered by a 48-volt battery.

The unit works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new Audi S8 is equipped with an adaptive air suspension with electromechanical stabilizers and an active rear differential. The base sedan features carbon ceramic brakes and a new exhaust system.

The S8 sports sedan differs from the standard A8 by special nameplates, other air intakes and wheel disks. The interior now has decorative trims made of aluminum and new seats.

The cost of the new model and the timing of its entry into the market have not been named. It is only known that the sports version will not be the last in the car line. Following the Audi S8, there will be another variant of the current car generation - a plug-in hybrid based on the A8.
